Adam Yauch's passing is very sad news- his husky, raspy voice was unique in rap and provided a great foil to the whiny, adenoidal voices (which I like, by the way!) of the other two Beasties. I've been a fan since Cookie Puss. The only album I never really got into was the latest, Hot Sauce Commitee, which I think I shall dig out and listen to again in his honour.

I will forever be disappointed that the reissue of "Paul's Boutique" didn't tack on the various B-sides from the 12-inch singles released around that time. They could have at least offered them as separate downloads, the same way they did for that lame-o "commentary" track.

And I still reach for "Licensed To Ill" way more than any other of their rap efforts.

Another unreleased track which I think may be from Licensed To Ill is I'm Down that samples the Beatles song of the same name for just one vocal piece, the How can you laugh part. Other than that it's a brash rocker. There may stiill be a video on YouTube of it.
