A quick note that Experience Hendrix, LLC has put the entire Dagger Records discography up for digital purchase via the Web site of Jimi Hendrix.
Since 1998, Dagger has been releasing "official bootleg" material from Hendrix's brief but influential career, from live recordings to outtakes compilations. All of them had been issued through direct-order CDs (although some material had been officially released into stores; the Live at Clark University set was put on vinyl for this year's Record Store Day).
All sets are available now in 320 kbps MP3 and can be downloaded here. Preview the track listings after the jump.

Ranasakawa says
Total waste if they are only MP3.
I learned years ago MP3 is a poor quality format.
They must offer these in Lossless as well.
Jacob says
Just release these in a box set already. You know it will sell. I much prefer having the physical cd and artwork in my hand to digital only.
Shaun says
I don't get why most, or perhaps ALL (?) of the live shows would seem to be incomplete... They all seem like awfully short performances, or in some cases are culled from two different dates, leading me to believe these aren't full shows. Does anyone know for sure?
I've no doubt the music is good, and I might want to hear some of these, but I wonder why they'd give us just bits and pieces. I mean, the Clark University one is more interviews than it is music!
Also, Jacob is right. This stuff, especially the demos and outtakes could be released outright on CD and made available to stores (or sites like Amazon), perhaps even a boxed set, if the tracks good enough for release anyhow. The sales for the recent Valleys of Neptune CD make it clear the interest is still there.
Ranasakawa says
Mate
The main reason most of these 1960s 'Live' concerts are often incomplete is the physical tape machines sometimes malfunctioned, the tapes themselves only ran for 30 min so had to be changed 1/2 way through a performance or there was microphone issues, crowd issues and other issues that impacted on the recordring.
Plus the fact magnetic tape deteriorates after 40 years.
Any 'Live' concert from the 1960s is a very precious commodity in today's stale digital age.
Patrick says
I only see 4 of those shows available for download. I don't get it...
