While you may or may not be fussing over this year's mainstream Grammy nominees (count this writer in the latter category), The Second Disc wanted to congratulate nominees for catalogue-related pursuits. One catalogue title has been nominated for Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package, two got nods for Best Album Notes and Best Historical Recording is pretty self-explanatory. (Also, interestingly, the title track from posthumous Michael Jackson compilation This is It was nominated for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance, alongside fresher-faced nominees Michael Bublé, John Mayer, Bruno Mars and Adam Lambert.)
See the catalogue-oriented nominees after the jump, and congratulations to all those who were nominated!

Daryl says
I don't think you'd get an argument from anyone that the Beatles box set shouldn't get the Grammy for Best Historical Album, the Buddy Holly and the Hank Williams sets are very nice and probably would win any other year. When's the Elvis / Sony set due up for Grammy nomination?
