Each month, Run Out Groove lets music lovers vote on the label’s next vinyl reissue, which is selected from unreleased material, out-of-print titles, or new collections sourced from the Warner Music archives. Run Out Groove has revealed that the next title in their eclectic catalog will be The Fire Theft’s self-titled album.
Featuring Jeremy Enigk, Nate Mendel, and William Goldsmith from the alternative rock group Sunny Day Real Estate, The Fire Theft was originally released on the Rykodisc label in 2003. Run Out Groove’s new, limited-edition 2-LP set marks the album’s vinyl debut. The new colored-vinyl pressing will be housed in a Stoughton-printed, tip-on gatefold sleeve featuring brand-new artwork approved by Jeremy Enigk. As for the colored vinyl, fans will be able to vote between three marbled variations by way of an upcoming poll on Run Out Groove’s Facebook profile.
The Fire Theft is available for pre-order now directly from Run Out Groove. The pre-order window will end on December 9. The title will be pressed and numbered to a limited quantity based on the number of orders received.
