This year marks the 25th anniversary of Pink Floyd's The Division Bell. The album saw the post-Waters lineup of David Gilmour, Richard Wright, and Nick Mason reuniting to create a decidedly more organic, integrated work than their previous release, A Momentary Lapse of Reason. The resulting album reached No. 1 in the U.S. and U.K., and inspired a successful world tour and concert album the following year.
On June 7, Pink Floyd Records will release a special, 25th anniversary edition of The Division Bell as a 2-LP set on heavyweight blue vinyl, echoing the original U.S. Columbia Records blue vinyl release in 1994.
The new edition will feature the 2014 stereo master prepared by James Guthrie, Joel Plante, and Doug Sax. Like the 2014 black vinyl edition, all the songs will be presented in their full-length versions, whereas original 1994 pressings included edited tracks.
The discs will be presented in a gatefold sleeve featuring four different "Division Bell heads" images, and will be housed in printed inner sleeves with full lyrics and additional visuals.
The blue vinyl edition of The Division Bell will be available from Pink Floyd Records on June 7. You can place your pre-order with the Amazon links below and check out the compete track listing.
