'90s pop superstars Hootie and the Blowfish are set to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their 21x platinum smash Cracked Rear View with a 2-CD Expanded Edition and 3-CD/DVD Deluxe Edition. Both configurations are due from Rhino on May 31 and boast a wealth of unreleased and hard-to-find content.

The classic album was originally recorded at L.A.'s NRG Studios with Don Gehman producing. The result was an infectious collection that spawned four successful singles ("Hold My Hand," "Only Wanna Be With You, "Time," and "Let Her Cry") and earned a Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance, Group or Duo. The album also topped the charts in New Zealand, Canada, and the United States, where it reached No. 1 five times during 1995.

The new deluxe edition of the album includes a new remaster of the album, plus rare and unreleased studio recordings on CD 2, a live show from Pittsburgh in 1995 on CD 3, and a DVD with music videos, 24-bit/96kHz high resolution bonus tracks, and a 5.1 surround sound mix of the album. Among the rare studio recordings are early versions of their classics, recorded in 1990 and 1991 and released on cassette at the band's gigs. Also featured is their 1993 EP Kootchypop and various outtakes and B-sides from the Cracked Rear View sessions. The set is rounded out by extensive liner notes by Tim Sommer, who signed Hootie and the Blowfish in 1993.

Both the 2-CD Expanded Edition (comprising CD 1 and CD 2 of the Deluxe Edition) and 3-CD/DVD Deluxe Edition of Cracked Rear View will be released on May 31 along with a vinyl release of the original album only. You can find a full track listing and pre-order links below!
