We're a little more than a month into COVID-19 lockdown here at TSD HQ, and we know things are still tough for everyone. (Things are tough for the music business, too, but they have more money than most of us! So this post is for you.)
As Mike noted in his last missive to our awesome readers, one of the things getting us through the situation is sharing the gift of music with each other. Neil Finn's Fangradio has been a balm, and Steve Nieve's The Daily Improvisation recently remotely reunited the legendary keyboardist with Elvis Costello. So we figured...why not take the opportunity and get in on the fun ourselves?
Here's the plan: on Friday, April 17 at 5 p.m. EST, head over to our Twitter feed - we're gonna press play on Prince and The Revolution's Around The World In a Day and spend the running time sharing some fun trivia and recollections about the album (which turns 35 next week; also a time to remember the icon's passing four years ago). It'll be a chance for all of us to say hello and share the thing we all love the most: great music and great company.
Make sure your turntable, CD player, iPod or laptops are ready (we won't judge which you use) and join us for a little get-together on Friday. "Open your heart, open your mind - a train is leaving fast!"

Great album choice, overshadowed by just about every other album he made in the 1980s.
