Ahead of the exciting Flaming Pie Archive set that's due to arrive on July 31, Paul McCartney has released a trio of digital EPs starting with Young Boy, then The World Tonight. Today, he's released another digital EP, Beautiful Night. This one isn't too different from the last two in that it offers highlights from the box set. Among its four tracks are the remastered version of the song, a 1995 demo, a studio run-through, and the radio show mix "Oobu Joobu, Pt. 5."
But, as a surprise to fans everywhere, McCartney has also chosen to offer an exclusive download of an early version of "Beautiful Night," recorded in 1986. Though that version appears in edited form as part of the "Oobu Joobu, Pt. 5" mix, the version that can only be found on Paul McCartney's website is the full-length, 6-minute version. Unfortunately, the full-length track will not be on the upcoming Flaming Pie box, a fact which is sure to frustrate fans. But, Paul has always blazed a trail when it comes to exploring newer technologies and has a track record of offering exclusive downloads.
You can download the exclusive version of "Beautiful Night" (and the previously released exclusive downloads) here, and scroll down to enjoy the Beautiful Night EP, out today. Also available is a restored version of the track's original music video. Check it out here!

"But Paul has always blazed a trail when it comes to exploring newer technologies and has a track record of offering exclusive downloads."
No offense, but this sort of statement only enables artists and their wrongheaded handlers - and it doesn't make it right, given the amount of money the McCartney team believes that fans will shell out for the deluxe box set. In this context, such exclusives should not be encouraged, condoned or downplayed.

I want to know when we will get an Archive Collection reissue of London Town. The 1993 CD reissue has been out of print for years.

It is being paired with Back To The Egg but – apparently – there are some legal hurdles to overcome before they do. They are rumoured strongly to be the next pair of releases, hopefully in 2021.
