Earlier this year, The Second Disc shared news of Rock, Pop and Doo Wop, a 7-DVD collection from Treasury Collection and executive producer-director TJ Lubinsky. Now, with the holidays upon us, a new set featuring dozens of classic hit-makers has just been released: '60s Rock, Pop and Soul.
This 4-DVD package has been culled from two decades of Lubinsky's historic television concerts, with 130 hit songs from a "Who's Who" of legendary performers including Frankie Valli ("Can't Take My Eyes Off You"), Jackie DeShannon ("What the World Needs Now Is Love"), John Kay and Steppenwolf ("Born To Be Wild"), The Association ("Cherish"), Petula Clark ("Downtown"), B.J. Thomas ("Hooked on a Feeling"), Barry McGuire ("Eve of Destruction"), Lulu ("To Sir with Love"), The Isley Brothers ("Shout"), Four Tops ("Baby I Need Your Lovin'"), Roger McGuinn of The Byrds ("Turn, Turn, Turn"), The Cowsills ("Hair"), Tommy James and The Shondells ("Mony, Mony"), Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis, Jr. of The 5th Dimension ("Wedding Bell Blues"), Eric Burdon and The Animals ("House Of The Rising Sun"), and Judy Collins ("Both Sides Now").
An array of late icons are also featured on this set including Aretha Franklin ("Respect"), James Brown ("I Feel Good"), Ben E. King ("Stand by Me"), The Righteous Brothers' Bobby Hatfield ("You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'"), Percy Sledge ("When a Man Loves a Woman"), Denny Doherty ("California' Dreamin'" with Mama Michelle Phillips), Dennis Edwards ("My Girl" with his Temptations Review), Rob Grill ("Let's Live for Today" with The Grass Roots), Scott McKenzie ("San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Some Flowers in Your Hair)"), and The Monkees' Davy Jones ("Daydream Believer") in his final television performance.
'60s Rock, Pop and Soul is available exclusively through Treasury Collection's website, and all orders placed there will receive a bonus soundtrack CD featuring selections from Barry McGuire, Rob Grill, The Association, and others. TJ Lubinsky comments, "The sixties was an explosive decade of peace, love, and change with a rich tapestry of creative expression in music - from mainstream pop to Motown, the beat of the British Invasion to gritty R&B. This expansive collection defines the indelible soundtrack of America." The 4-DVD '60s Rock, Pop and Soul is only available through TreasuryCollection.com and all orders received prior to December 20 will be shipped in time for Christmas delivery.
A video preview of this trip back to the 1960s with a never-before-seen infomercial with hosted by Jackie DeShannon and the late Davy Jones is available now at this link. Below, you'll find a link to place your order as well as a listing of highlights found on the 4-DVD set.

I wonder why Mr. Lubinsky's not flogging this horse through PBS, like usual. When they air those specials on PBS, the ones I prefer have the old, vintage clips from the 1960's shows like "Hullabaloo", "Ready, Steady, Go", or "American Bandstand", not those "Reunion" shows with one original member of the group performing: "Lee Dorman", of Iron Butterfly? He was the bassist, not a singer, guitarist or keyboard player. At least Reg Presley was the lead singer of the Troggs.

Hi Maxine,
I'm sorry to hear your order hasn't arrived. I've personally experienced a lot of similar problems with deliveries this holiday season. However, we're not affiliated with TJL. TJ Lubinsky is active on both Facebook and Twitter. If you reach out to him on one of those platforms (or if there was any contact info from your point of purchase for the DVD and CD) I'm sure he can direct you to get the proper customer service. Thank you, and good luck!
