Peter Tosh, Live at My Father's Place (RockBeat Black Vinyl LP)
In 1978, a year after becoming the first reggae artist signed to Rolling Stones Records, Peter Tosh headlined an intimate concert at My Father's Place in Roslyn, New York. Backed by his band (Word, Sound & Power), Tosh performed songs from his then-current Bush Doctor album ("Bush Doctor," "Pick Yourself Up"), previous hits ("Legalize It," "Stepping Razor"), and a classic from his time with Bob Marley & the Wailers ("Get Up, Stand Up"), among other selections. Now, RockBeat Records is proud to make this concert available on vinyl for the very first time.

Based in Houston, the Moving Sidewalks were a psychedelic garage quartet that existed during the second half of the 1960s. Other members who appeared on the album were bassist Don Summers, keyboardist Tom Moore, and multi-instrumentalist Isaac Costa. In 2013, Gibbons announced the reformation of the original lineup of the band, and they performed headlining shows in Austin, Houston, and New York City. Kim Fowley, In Deutschland (Liberation Hall CD)
Los Angeles musical impresario Kim Fowley co-wrote songs for KISS, Helen Reddy, Alice Cooper, Leon Russell, and Kris Kristofferson, and he managed the Runaways and the Hollywood Stars. Fowley also found time to record himself, scoring a #1 hit with "Alley Oop" as a member of the Hollywood Argyles, and cutting over a dozen solo albums. In Deutschland is one of the few live Fowley documents that still exists. Recorded on October 26, 1992, and accompanied by Flamin' Groovies singer-guitarist Chris Wilson, Fowley trades jeers with the audience during this off-the-rails show. His band hadn't rehearsed properly and mid-show the concert organizer asked the audience if they wanted the concert to continue. Their emphatic response was "NO!!!" Fowley and his band played on. Tracks 1-9 are all that exist of the concert; tracks 10-16 were recorded at a rehearsal. This album was previously released in 1993 on Fowley's own Marilyn Records with the title White Negroes in Deutschland. A new vinyl release via Liberation Hall will follow later in 2022.

The Troggs, The Trogg Tapes (Liberation Hall CD)
British garage rock legends the Troggs made their U.S. debut in the summer of 1966 with the Chip Taylor-penned "Wild Thing," a worldwide smash that has been covered by the Jimi Hendrix Experience, the Runaways, X, the Damned, Divinyls, Krokus, and countless others. After releasing four well-regarded studio albums in the 1960s, the Troggs went on hiatus at the turn of the '70s. But by 1976, and the end of the glam rock era, they were back in action delivering the infectious melodic rock of The Trogg Tapes. This album features groovy originals like "Supergirl" and "Down South to Georgia" alongside covers of Rufus Thomas' "Walkin' the Dog" and Brendon Dunning's "Rock 'N' Roll Lady." A vinyl release of The Trogg Tapes will arrive later this year.

Tony Hazzard, Demonstration (Liberation Hall CD)
He may not be a household name, but Liverpool-born Tony Hazzard wrote many hits in the 1960s for such pop acts as the Hollies, Manfred Mann, Herman's Hermits, Cliff Richard, Gene Pitney, and Andy Williams. Demonstration features all except for one of the songs which appeared on his 1969 solo debut, Tony Hazzard Sings Tony Hazzard, but adds an additional pair of tracks. Recorded between 1966-1969 at Regent Sound in London, the songs are presented in demo form, hence the title. The thirteen songs are charming, hooky, often whimsical, and feature orchestrated arrangements in the style of the period. Hazzard comments, "This current version has been remixed and remastered from the original 4-track tapes that I was lucky enough to buy before they were due to be destroyed. All the tracks are demos. We re-recorded 'Fox on the Run' and 'You Won't Be Leaving' again for the album. In addition, Tony Hicks of the Hollies recorded his lead guitar part on 'Listen to Me' and it was edited into the demo. Otherwise, all the tracks are the original demos." A vinyl release of Demonstration will be released later this year by Liberation Hall.

Mountain, Eruption: Around the World (Liberation Hall 2CD)
Heralded as one of rock's greatest guitarists, Leslie West formed Mountain alongside vocalist/bassist Felix Pappalardi in 1969, and the group soon locked in a permanent lineup with drummer Corky Laing. After five albums and extensive roadwork with the group, Pappalardi was tragically shot and killed by his wife in 1983. Two years later, former Uriah Heep bassist Mark Clarke was in Mountain. The first disc of this 2-CD set was recorded with Clarke in 1985 at two legendary New York music venues (The Ritz in Manhattan and L'Amour in Brooklyn), while the second was captured with bassist Richie Scarlet while on tour in Europe in 2003. This double-disc set was originally released in 2004 by Fuel 2000 (USA) and Snapper Music (UK). An abridged vinyl release from Liberation Hall will follow later in 2022.

Scott McCarl, Play On (Liberation Hall CD)
Scott McCarl only appeared on a single Raspberries album (their 1974 swansong, Starting Over) but the bassist proved his worth, co-writing five of the album's tracks. In the aftermath of the Raspberries, McCarl pursued other career paths and only sporadically returned to songwriting. That's why it took over two decades for his debut solo album to appear. Titled after his best-known Raspberries composition, Play On was released in 1998 and showed that McCarl's knack for Beatlesque power pop hadn't dimmed in the slightest. This new compilation includes choice cuts from the original Play On as well as additional songs from McCarl's discography. Original compositions are joined by one cover tune, "Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying," originally performed by Gerry & the Pacemakers. Backing musicians include the Rubinoos, Hilly Michaels, and Lux Interior's brother, Michael Purkhiser. Liberation Hall also has a vinyl release of this compilation planned for later this year. Listen to "In Love Without a Girl" here.
TRACKLIST: 1. I'll Be on My Way | 2. I Hope | 3. Wait a Minute Girl | 4. Fallin' in Love | 5. In Love Without a Girl | 6. I Think About You | 7. Don't Wanna Go | 8. Go Down Swingin' | 9. Richard Allen says
Why can't they use the original Moving Sidewalks cover art instead if that lazy crap?
