Cowboy
Real Gone's second Cowboy reissue of the month has the CD debut of the band's self-titled 1977 LP. Scott Boyer and Tommy Talton joined with a new producer, engineer Sam Whiteside, for a more pop/country-rock-oriented album called, simply, Cowboy. The duo brought in new musicians including Arch Pearson on bass, Chip Condon on keyboards, and Chip Miller on drums. It would prove to be the Cowboy's final album as Boyer and Talton broke up soon after its release, and Capricorn Records itself closed in 1979. Mike Milchner has remastered.
