On February 8, 2019, three of Prince's essential 2000s albums will arrive on CD and, for the first time ever, LP. Like Prince's prior releases, Musicology and 3121, Planet Earth came during a time of sustained creative genius, the results of which were as critically acclaimed and popular as they were artistically inspired.  Planet Earth fared well on the charts upon its release in 2007, reaching #3.

The album is available from Legacy Recordings in a 1-CD configuration, a standard black vinyl 1-LP version, and a limited edition, collectible purple vinyl 1-LP version that is exclusive to the Prince Online Store.
