Leroy Anderson

Real Gone brings two classic platters from "Sleigh Ride" composer Leroy Anderson to CD. His 1955 album Christmas Carols  was such a hit that he later re-recorded selections for a new album in 1959 entitled A Christmas Festival.  Though the 1959 mono mix of the latter has seen a CD release, The Complete Christmas Collection marks the CD debut for the 1955 mono album and 1959 stereo mix and includes two bonus tracks: mono and stereo versions of "Sleigh Ride," naturally.  Leroy's son Kurt has written new liner notes.
