The Replacements
Following two recent boxes dedicated to The Replacements' Sire era, Rhino is turning its attention to the band's 1981 debut album Sorry Ma, Forgot to Take Out the Trash with a new 40th anniversary set. The 4-CD/1-LP collection, presented in Rhino's by-now-familiar 12 x 12 hardcover book format, contains a generous 100 tracks, a full 67 of which are previously unreleased including the 'Mats' first demo recordings from 1980 and a professionally recorded concert from 1981. In addition to the remastered original album and non-LP B-side "If Only You Were Lonely," the set also features rough mixes, alternate takes, and demos from the band's first eighteen months together. The LP, Deliberate Noise, offers an alternate imagining of the album with previously unreleased versions of each song.
