David Bowie

The exquisite 5-CD box Conversation Piece traces David Bowie's development as a songwriter and performer throughout 1968-1969 with home demos, BBC sessions, and studio recordings with his friend and collaborator John "Hutch" Hutchinson and the mime group Feathers. The lavish, hardcover book-style box also marks the 50th anniversary of the "Space Oddity" single and Bowie's eponymous sophomore album also known as Space Oddity. The box premieres 12 previously unreleased tracks as well as a new mix of the album by producer Tony Visconti which incorporates "Conversation Piece," originally dropped for length reasons, into the track listing.
