Bob Marley's international hit album Exodus gets a fresh treatment for its 40th anniversary. All editions feature the original 1977 album plus a "restatement" of the original classic as overseen by Bob's son, Ziggy Marley. Ziggy has dived deep into the Exodus sessions and constructed new versions of the 10 songs on the album with unused and unheard vocals, overdubs and session takes. Deluxe versions of the set will include a third disc of recordings taken from The Wailers' four-day stand at London's Rainbow Theatre from June 1-4, 1977, the week the album was released in stores. Of these eight recordings (one of which is exclusive to the 3CD package), only one was previously released on a 2001 expanded edition of the Exodus album. The deluxe vinyl version will include three extra discs: repressed replica 7″ singles of "Waiting In Vain" b/w "Jamming" and "Smile Jamaica" (released in Jamaica in 1976), and a replica of the "Punky Reggae Party" 12″ featuring a previously unreleased remix of "Keep On Moving."
