James Brown
A new double-disc vinyl edition of James Brown's 1972 effort Get On the Good Foot is due from Republic/UMe on June 21. It was his second album that year and peaked at #8 on the Billboard R&B Albums charts. The title track, meanwhile, hit #1 on the Billboard R&B Singles Chart. The J.B.s., Brown's newest backing group, was on-hand with stellar grooves, including appearances on "I've Got a Bag of My Own," re-recordings of "Ain't It a Groove," and "Cold Sweat," and more. Republic/UMe's new edition will feature rare images, scans of the master tape box, and will include "I Know It's True," a ballad that makes its U.S. vinyl debut.
