Cher
2CD: Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K. / Amazon Canada
4LP: Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K. / Amazon Canada
Cher's 1995 album It's a Man's World returns from Warner Records as a Deluxe Edition on 2 CDs or 4 LPs. Both versions contain the complete 14-track U.K. album (the U.S. edition removed three songs and substantially remixed others) and a selection of bonus single remixes, eleven in total. "Walking in Memphis (Shut Up and Dance Vocal Mix)" is streaming now, while "One by One (JR's Pride Mix)" will arrive on June 23. The U.S. album remixes are not included among the bonus material. Recorded with producers including Trevor Horn, Stephen Lipson, Christopher Neil, Greg Penny, and Simon Hurrell, It's A Man's World found Cher in a rootsy yet contemporary R&B vein. She reinterpreted such classic songs as Marc Cohn's "Walking in Memphis," Don Henley's "Not Enough Love in the World," Bob Gaudio and Bob Crewe's Frankie Valli/Walker Brothers staple "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore," James Brown's "It's a Man's Man's Man's World," and Paul Brady's "Paradise Is Here" (the latter first recorded by Tina Turner). The 4LP package will feature each record pressed on different-colored vinyl (red, blue, green, and yellow). The box also includes an exclusive, numbered lithograph of Cher. A different lithograph will be available for those ordering directly through Cher's website.
