When Curtis Mayfield split with The Impressions in 1969, he forged a new chapter in his career and in soul music.  His unique blend of gospel-influenced R&B and socially charged lyrics paved the way for much of the soul music that was to come in the decades ahead.  Rhino Records will celebrate the acclaimed musician on February 22, as Mayfield's acclaimed first four albums will be reissued on CD and LP as Keep On Keeping On: Curtis Mayfield Studio Albums, 1970-1974.  Featuring the classic debut Curtis (1970), as well as Roots (1971), Back To the World (1973), and Sweet Exorcist (1974), Keep On Keeping On displays the range and versatility of Curtis Mayfield as a musician, songwriter, and singer.  Each groundbreaking album has been newly remastered for the special box set, available in 4-CD or 4-LP formats.
