SoulMusic Records and The Second Disc celebrate Philadelphia girl group First Choice with Love Having You Around: The Gold Mind Recordings (1977-1980).  This 4CD collection features expanded editions of the trio's three original albums for Salsoul's Gold Mind imprint, plus a specially-curated bonus disc featuring various remixes and reinventions of their timeless, floor-filling repertoire. This clamshell box set features a 28-page, full-color booklet with photos, memorabilia, and four new essays including Craig Seymour's fresh interview with Rochelle Fleming; TSD's Joe Marchese's exploration of the group's ties to The Sound of Philadelphia; Tim Dillinger's look at First Choice's extraordinary legacy of remixes and contributions to the dance music landscape; and SoulMusic Records founder David Nathan's personal reflections of the period in which the group flourished.  Nick Robbins has remastered all of the audio.
