Stan Getz

This companion release to Resonance's Getz/Gilberto '76, Moments in Time features never-before-released music played in concert by The Stan Getz Quartet featuring pianist Joanne Brackeen, bassist Clint Houston, and drummer Billy Hart.  These 1976 performances from San Francisco's Keystone Korner marks the only released recordings by this configuration of the Stan Getz Quartet. The deluxe CD includes a 28-page booklet with essays by jazz journalist Ted Panken, Steve Getz, band members Brackeen and Hart, producers Zev Feldman and Todd Barkan, as well as statements from saxophonists Joshua Redman and Branford Marsalis. Also featured are rare, previously unpublished photos from the archives of  photographer Tom Copi.  The 8-song set is available on both CD and vinyl.
