The Grateful Dead is heading to the Pacific Northwest. Grateful Dead's online exclusive 19-CD box set Pacific Northwest '73-'74: The Complete Recordings, presenting six previously unreleased shows from two tours, is being cut down for two highlights editions: a 3-CD compilation drawn from the box set, and a 6-LP set of the complete Portland '74 show (May 19, 1974). The 6-LP set, pressed on 180-gram vinyl, is limited to 7,500 copies.
Country Singer's Prayer
Omnivore has excavated a 1975 album by Buck Owens recorded for Capitol Records and subsequently shelved by the label. Though the tracks have seen release on compilations such as Owens' Bear Family box set retrospective of the era, this marks the first time the album has been presented and sequenced as Owens intended. Country Singer's Prayer also includes two bonus single sides.

This new collection from Jasmine presents 24 songs examining love from all angles as only Judy Garland could have performed them. I Can't Give You Anything But Love has been assembled by Garland scholar Lawrence Schulman, and includes a live rendition of Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein II's heart-rending "Why Was I Born?" from 1946 which is new to CD.
Days (1988-1991)
Edsel remembers the late singer-songwriter Kirsty MacColl with the release of a new 4CD/1DVD book-style box set. Days (1988-1991) collects her Virgin Records period which yielded two albums and various singles. Scott Boyer and Tommy Talton joined with a new producer, engineer Sam Whiteside, for a more pop/country-rock-oriented album called, simply, Cowboy. The duo brought in new musicians including Arch Pearson on bass, Chip Condon on keyboards, and Chip Miller on drums.
