Neil Young's sixth album, released in 1975 but mostly recorded two years earlier, was the closer to his "Ditch Trilogy." It remains one of his darkest works, responding in real time to the overdose deaths of Crazy Horse's Danny Whitten and friend and roadie Bruce Berry with bleak songs and wearied vocals. This reissue features a redesigned cover and six bonus tracks, including the unreleased "Walk On" and an alternate take of the title track. (The other tracks, including the Joni Mitchell-assisted "Raised on Robbery," are taken from Archives Vol. II, and the version of album cut "Lookout Joe" is also an unreleased version from 1973.)
