Apple has announced the full, final specs for its upcoming swath of reissues, and they've managed to include some surprises that weren't previously known about.
The Second Disc posted a rundown last month of some planned bonus tracks based on a beta version of Apple Records' Web site. Now, the site offers a full press release and track list details for every one of the upcoming releases. Not only does nearly every reissue now contain bonus tracks (including the James Taylor and Jackie Lomax albums), but another reissue has been added to the fold: the self-titled album by The Radha Krishna Temple, an LP of Indian devotional music produced by George Harrison.

Phil Cohen says
The finalised track listings will delight Apple collectors. There now ARE bonus tracks on the James Taylor & Jackie Lomax discs, and there are now reasons(for every collector who has the complete set of 1991-1992 discs) to buy the new CD's. The amount of albums with download-only exclusives has been reduced(no need to buy the download versions of the Billy Preston & Doris Troy albums). Buying all of the CD's plus the Badfinger & Mary Hopkin downloads will give you all the tracks.
However, hang onto your previous CD of "Radha Krishna Temple" for the b-side "Prayer to The Spiritual Masters"
Perhaps those of us who were underwhelmed by the advance information concerning the John Lennon reissue campaign should wait and see what more detailed information may reveal.
Anth says
Still not crazy about the digital bonus tracks but these are looking much better than the initial 'leak.' I wish they would put out a CD of all the Badfinger digital tracks but oh well.
Definitely getting all Badfinger, Jackie Lomax, and the best-of. Maybe Mary Hopkin and Billy Preston. I'll get Ass immediately since I don't have it on CD and the rest I'll get down the road.
Roger says
Kind of disappointing there is no Iveys CD considering some of these titles they are putting out will seriously sell less than 1000 copies .
Phil Cohen says
Yes, but EMi & Apple clearly haven't closed the door on the possibility of reissuing the Iveys CD. You'll note that in the forthcoming "Badfinger-Magic Christian Music" CD and its' CD & online bonus tracks, while you're getting all of the SONGS from the "The Iveys-Maybe Tomorrow" album, the songs are being represented by different mixes, takes & edits, so that they DON'T overlap with the 1992 Iveys CD.
Sean Anglum says
A "Storm in a Teacup"?! Sorry, couldn't resistant the palid Badfinger reference.
I'm looking forward to the reissues and have already started saving my pennies. hope the Apple compilation packaging is as concise and handsome as other Apple releases. Is KOSH still living? Between him and the Camoflage guys, Apple release were generally well decked out.
Ian Cross says
Will we able to buy the CD and get the digital download tracks separately?
