a-ha, Hunting High and Low: 30th Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition (Warner Bros./Rhino) (Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K.)

The 1985 debut from a-ha gets super-sized with Rhino's upcoming 4-CD/1-DVD edition.  Disc One has the original, remastered album, while Disc Two boasts 25 demos, Disc Three has 15 singles, B-sides and extended versions, and Disc Four takes in ten previously unreleased alternate mixes.  The DVD has six music videos.  A 60-page hardback book tops off this super deluxe set!  The original album will also be available in a stand-alone remastered reissue.  Read more here.

Grateful Dead - Definitive Live

Grateful Dead, 30 Trips Around the Sun: The Definitive Live Story 1965-1995 (Rhino) (Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K. )

Rhino celebrates 30 years of live Dead with this career-spanning anthology featuring 31 tracks - one song from the Dead's earliest recording session, in 1965, and 30 from 30 concerts, one for each year from 1966-1995.  This set is a 4-CD or DD highlights version of the 80-CD or USB box set 30 Trips Around the Sun (pre-ordering exclusively at dead.net) presenting the 30 concerts in full.  Read more here!

Otis Redding - Otis Blue

Otis Redding, Otis Blue: Collectors Edition (Rhino) (Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K. )

Rhino reissues the 2008 double-disc Collectors Edition of Otis Redding's 1965 classic in time for its 50th anniversary.  We have full details here!

Dr. John - Singles

Dr. John, The Atco/Atlantic Singles 1968-1974 (Omnivore) (Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K.)

Love and Mercy OST

Brian Wilson and Atticus Ross, Music from Love and Mercy (Capitol) (Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K.)

Capitol Records belatedly releases a soundtrack to director Bill Pohlad's acclaimed Brian Wilson biopic Love and Mercy featuring Atticus Ross' original score plus music from the solo Wilson ("Love and Mercy," "One Kind of Love"), The Beach Boys ("God Only Knows," "Good Vibrations," "Don't Worry Baby") and star Paul Dano ("God Only Knows").

Erroll Garner - Complete Concert by the Sea

Erroll Garner, The Complete Concert by the Sea (Columbia/Legacy) (Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K.)

Legacy has an expanded edition of jazz piano legend Erroll Garner's best-selling live LP, Concert by the Sea.  The new 3-CD set, presented in a deluxe oversized digipak, presents a nearly-doubled presentation of the original 1955 concert together with a newly remastered version of the original LP release.  We have full details here!

Elyse Weinberg

Elyse Weinberg, Greasepaint Smile (Numero Group) (Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K.)

Numero Group excavates a never-before-released 1969 album from singer-songwriter Elyse Weinberg.  The label describes the album's sound: "Weinberg's finger-picked acoustic is layered over distant drumming, while her gravel-pit voice evokes life, love, and mortality."  Neil Young, J.D. Souther, Nils Lofgren and Kenny Edwards all guest on this lost California-rock gem produced by Young's longtime associate David Briggs.

Patti LuPone - Matters of the Heart

Patti LuPone, Matters of the Heart (Broadway Records) (Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K.)

Patti LuPone's 1999 album returns to CD from Broadway Records.  The intimate Matters of the Heart features the Broadway diva tackling an eclectic repertoire by Stephen Sondheim ("Not a Day Goes By"), Randy Newman ("Real Emotional Girl"), Rodgers and Hammerstein ("Hello, Young Lovers"), Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens ("Back to Before") and others.

Woman of the Year

Woman of the Year: Original Broadway Cast Recording (Arista/Masterworks Broadway) (Amazon U.S.)

The CD-R of John Kander and Fred Ebb's brassy score to Woman of the Year, starring Lauren Bacall and Harry Guardino, is at last in stock at Amazon U.S.!  Previously available as an Arkiv Music exclusive.

Introducing Darlene Love

Darlene Love, Introducing Darlene Love (Wicked Cool/Columbia) (Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K.)

Yes, Little Steven Van Zandt is "introducing" one of the greatest voices of our time on this all-new album! The legendary Ms. Love is out front on new songs penned by Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello, Jimmy Webb, Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil, Linda Perry, and Little Steven himself - plus a revival of Jeff Barry, Ellie Greenwich and Phil Spector's masterpiece "River Deep - Mountain High."  Wicked cool, indeed!

Keith Richards - Crosseyed Heart

Keith Richards, Crosseyed Heart (Universal Republic) (Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K.)

One-half of The Glimmer Twins returns with his first solo album in 23 years.  Keith Richards fuses blues, soul, reggae and rock on Crosseyed Heart, which features guest appearances by artists including Norah Jones, Ivan Neville and the late Bobby Keys!

Judy Collins - Strangers Again

Judy Collins, Strangers Again (Wildflower) (Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K.)

Judy Collins returns for a new set of ballads performed as duets with artists including Willie Nelson, Michael McDonald, Jackson Browne, Jimmy Buffett, Glen Hansard and Don McLean!

David Gilmour - Rattle That Lock

David Gilmour, Rattle That Lock (Columbia) (Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K.)

David Gilmour's fourth solo album arrives in four editions.  The single disc CD is packaged in hardcover-book style.  The second version is a CD/DVD Deluxe Box that includes the CD along with a standard DVD featuring 10 bonus audio-visual tracks, 4 bonus audio tracks, the complete album in Surround Sound, and memorabilia. The third version is a CD/BD Deluxe Box that features the CD, along with a Blu-ray featuring 10 bonus audio-visual tracks, 4 bonus audio tracks, the complete album in Surround Sound, and memorabilia. Both Deluxe Box versions include a 32 page hard back photo/lyric book including artist photographs by Kevin Westenberg along with album session photographs by Polly Samson, a 48 page book 'Paradise Lost' (Book II), and memorabilia including a poster, postcard, and plectrum.
