Magnus Hägermyr says
1976 was the right year to experience Pistols live when they had a bass-player (Glen Matlock) who actually knew how to play the thing. But then again Malcolm McLaren thought that Sid Vicious had the most charisma in the band so that maybe compensate some. He did not play on "Never Mind The Bollocks..." though. Steve Jones did.

Will be receiving The Turtles, "All The Singles" today. Can't wait to hear this collection! As usual, I heard about it here first!!
Murray says
I'm listening to it on Tidal right now. I have to admit I'm not super familiar with their stuff beyond the hits. The B sides are great so far! I wish every great band had a collection like this. Hearing the A and B sides together is the way to listen to these songs in my opinion.
Spencer says
Great, Murray! I think The Turtles are one of the best bands of the 60's so I'm very excited about these new reissues. And, I noticed that all the Deluxe Edition (mono/stereo) albums popped up on HDTracks today in 24 bit! I ordered up "Happy Together" and it sounds stellar to these ears. These remasters are not overly compressed so that's good - hello Archies complete Albums collection (yuck!).
Joe - may want to make note of the high res Turtles available online!
Joe Marchese says
Thanks for the heads-up, Spencer! I've added the HDTracks info to my review. Much appreciated!
AC says
I'm new to the Scientists--I actually learned about them here!--but after listening to some samples online, my curiosity was really piqued, and I sprung for the Numero box. It's truly amazing, and humbling, how much great music even a person with a decent-sized collection misses. There's just soooo much out there, and the search never ends. Thanks, Joe!
Bill Janowski says
Interesting, the Dolly Parton Wal-Mart Bonus CD is only 10 songs, from what I see on their site.
Bill Janowski says
The WM sticker says it's 10 of Dolly's Greatest Hits on the Bonus CD. They might be re-recordings, but this is totally different than the U.K. Bonus CD.
Joe Marchese says
The Wal-Mart bonus disc does feature 10 original recordings, whereas the U.K. edition bonus disc is taken from her live performance at Glastonbury. Disc One of the Wal-Mart edition also features two studio bonus tracks.
