Amazing Grace: The Complete Recordings presents Aretha Franklin’s iconic concerts at the New Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles during January 1972 in full. Both the Thursday night and Friday night sets are accounted for, spread across four 180-gram LPs. For more about the Amazing Grace vinyl reissue, check out our post here!
Songs Of Faith: Aretha Gospel offers nine gospel standards recorded by a 14-year-old Aretha in 1956 at the New Bethel Church in her native Detroit, where her father, the legendary Rev. C.L. Franklin, would give his inimitable sermons. Predating her tenure on Columbia Records by six years and her breakthrough on Atlantic Records by more than a decade, these primitive piano-and-vocal recordings offer a fascinating early listen to one of the most original and captivating voices in recorded history. This vinyl release features new liner notes by David Ritz and a discographical history of these tracks. The uDiscover store will offer an exclusive white vinyl pressing. Today, just over 50 years after the couple’s marriage, John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s avant-garde Wedding Album will be re-released. John and Yoko were married in Gibraltar near Spain and rather than a traditional honeymoon, they embarked on a press tour promoting world peace in what became their famous Bed-In. Wedding Album provides a snapshot of these moments. There’s “John & Yoko,” a call-and-response duet featuring the newlyweds calling out each other’s names; Yoko’s “John, John, Let’s Hope for Peace”; interview snippets; John’s a cappella reading of The Beatles’ “Good Night.” Altogether, it’s a humorous, spontaneous album that celebrates the early days of the pair’s union. On the packaging front, the LP editions of Wedding Album include faithfully recreated memorabilia. The CD, meanwhile, will be presented in a six-panel layout with an extensive booklet.
The Secretly Canadian Online Store is also offering a limited-edition bundle including the CD, LP box set, and t-shirt at a discounted price. Meanwhile, independent retailer Rough Trade has a clear vinyl edition available, limited to just 300 copies. To learn more about the new reissue of Wedding Album, take a look at our post here!

On March 22, the album will be celebrated with a new 2-LP collection that features the 2019 remasters of the original U.S. and U.K. mixes. Originally released fifty years ago, Bill Evans’ At the Montreux Jazz Festival won the Grammy for Best Jazz Instrumental album for its thrilling music, which includes Eddie Gomez on bass and Jack DeJohnette on drums, accompanying the piano virtuoso Evans. For this new reissue, Analogue Productions has enlisted Bernie Grundman, who mastered the title from the original analog tapes and pressed onto 200-gram vinyl at Quality Record Pressings. It promises to be a superb addition to your record library.
Bernard Herrmann was undoubtably one of the greatest of the film composers, contributing iconic scores for Citizen Kane, Psycho, and Taxi Driver, among others. His score for Hitchcock’s Vertigo remains one of his most enduring pieces. To recognize the film’s 60th anniversary, Varese Sarabande has reissued the soundtrack, remastered from the original analog tapes and pressed onto 180-gram vinyl at RTI and housed in a tip-on sleeve printed at Stoughton.
The Dirt is a new Netflix bio-pic that explores “the unbelievable story of the world’s most notorious band, Motley Crue.” To accompany the film, Motley Records will release its soundtrack on CD on March 22. In addition to 17 of their hits, the album will also include three new tracks: “Ride with the Devil,” “Crash and Burn,” and a cover of Madonna’s “Like a Virgin.”
