Marshall Crenshaw, Miracle of Science [Revised Edition] (Shiny-Tone)

Singer-songwriter Marshall Crenshaw reissues his 1996 Razor & Tie release on his own Shiny-Tone label, tinkering with some tracks and adding two new recordings.  It launches a new reissue campaign that will ultimately encompass three studio albums -- Miracle of Science, 1999's #447 and 2003's What's in the Bag? -- as well as 1994's live album My Truck Is My Home and 1998's demos collection The 9 Volt Years. Each album will boast two newly recorded, previously unreleased tracks, which will appear on a bonus 7-inch single on the vinyl editions and as bonus tracks on the CD and digital versions.  Read more here.

This 2011 compilation comes to vinyl straight from Bakersfield!  It features 14 classic country duets from Owens and Raye including "Cryin' Time" and "Today I Started Loving You Again."

Cherry Red's Robinsongs imprint has returned to print four albums from three-time Grammy-winning vocalist Dee Dee Bridgewater.  Fusing jazz, funk, soul, and R&B, Bridgewater collaborated with such A-list producers as Stanley Clarke, George Duke, Gene Page, Jerry Wexler, and Thom Bell on these albums originally issued on the Atlantic and Elektra labels.  Available next Friday in North America.  Watch for full coverage of this title soon!

Tammy Wynette's final three albums of the 1970s, all produced by Billy Sherrill, are reissued as one 2-CD set from Cherry Red's Morello arm.  Originally released on Epic Records between 1977 and 1979, these three albums yielded the hits "One of a Kind," "I'd Like to See Jesus (On The Midnight Special)," "Womanhood," "They Call It Making Love," and "No One Else in the World."  Available next Friday in North America.

Rhino celebrated the 40th anniversary of Bad Company's Desolation Angels with a new edition on 2 CDs or 2 LPs.  Both versions have a bonus disc of nine previously unreleased tracks including the outtakes "Rock Fever" and "Smokin' 45" and alternate takes of seven songs from the original album.  (Note that the take of "Smokin' 45" is different than the one previously released on The 'Original' Bad Co. Anthology in 1999.)  The new remaster of the album is the same one as released in 2019 on the box set The Swan Song Years 1974-1982.

Australian singer-songwriter Paul Kelly looks back on his remarkable career with this 2-CD, 43-track anthology spanning 1985-2019 and including one previously unreleased track: "When We're Both Old and Mad," a duet with Kasey Chambers.  Kelly's eclectic style might be focused on folk, rock, and country, but he's dabbled in reggae, bluegrass, and beyond; Song from the South showcases the breadth of his catalogue with hits and deep cuts alike.  The set features his biggest Australian hit, "To Her Door," as well as the U.S. chart entry "Dumb Things," the seasonal favorite "How to Make Gravy," and much more.  Also available on 2 LPs with 26 tracks total.
