Run Out Groove has announced its next fan-voted title to arrive in a limited, numbered vinyl edition which can be delivered right to your front door. Fans have voted Machine Head’s 1994 debut album Burn My Eyes to get the ROG vinyl treatment.

The Bay Area thrash metal band featuring vocalist/rhythm guitarist Robb Flynn, lead guitarist Logan Mader, bassist Adam Duce, and drummer Chris Kontos injected a dose of hard-hitting realism into their first album. They referenced drug abuse, the selling of the church, the Los Angeles riots, and the Waco, Texas siege of the Branch Davidian compound in their dark, aggressive, and uncompromising songs such as “Real Eyes, Realize, Real Lies,” “Davidian,” “Death Church,” “I’m Your God Now,” and “The Rage to Overcome.” Colin Richardson’s stark, gritty production emphasized the brutality of the music and lyrics.

With sales of over 400,000 units worldwide, Burn My Eyes became Roadrunner Records’ best-selling debut album to that point. It remains the only Machine Head album to feature Chris Kontos (who replaced original drummer Tony Costanza not long after sessions began, but was subsequently dismissed from the band over touring issues). The band has since released another eight studio albums and sold over three million records worldwide.

The deluxe 2-LP set will be available to pre-order until June 5, and then pressed and numbered to a limited quantity based on the total number of orders. It will be pressed on colored vinyl and features five bonus tracks: all demos making their first appearance on vinyl.

Voting is also open now for ROG’s next release! Up for a slot are two returning entries plus one new title. All descriptions below are provided by the label:

Killswitch Engage, As Daylight Dies: Vote for Massachusetts metal-core band KSE and ROG will reissue and expand their third Roadrunner studio album on colored vinyl for the first time in the U.S. with bonus tracks.

The Dresden Dolls, Yes, Virginia: Vote for the punk-cabaret duo, The Dresden Dolls, and ROG will issue their 2006 Roadrunner debut album on vinyl for the first time and press it on funky colored vinyl.
