Craft Recordings, the catalogue arm of the Concord label, has announced their roster of titles for Record Store Day Black Friday, all of which will be available exclusively through brick-and-mortar record shops on November 27. Among the diverse titles: a complete 1982 concert by George Thorogood and the Destroyers, early live sessions from Jewel, a 7″ single of Vince Guaraldi’s “Christmas Time Is Here,” a 10th-anniversary re-press of Norma Jean’s Meridional, and a new Jazz Dispensary compilation of jazz, funk and soul. George Thorogood and The Destroyers, Live in Boston, 1982: The Complete Concert (4-LP , red marbled vinyl + poster, 1,200 copies)
Previously released in a truncated form on a CD in 2010, now George Thorogood and the Destroyers’ legendary Boston 1982 show now arrives in its complete form (with 12 previously unreleased tracks) and on vinyl for the first time. This limited pressing is presented on red marbled vinyl alongside a poster and liner notes. It’s all part of Craft’s celebration of Rounder Records’ 50th anniversary. “1982 was an absolute high-water mark for us,” Thorogood said in a statement. “Everything was going our way and it shows in this recording…This is George Thorogood and The Destroyers at our best!”

As a tie-in to the 25th anniversary of her multi-platinum Pieces of You, some of Jewel’s early coffeehouse recordings at San Diego’s Inner Change will be pressed as a 2-LP set complete with a replica flier, designed by Jewel. This material will also be featured on the upcoming 4-CD deluxe edition of Pieces of You.

Celebrated metalcore band Norma Jean released Meridional in 2010 and to celebrate its 10th anniversary, the album will be pressed on turquoise marbled vinyl in a limited edition of 3,400 copies Limited to 3,400 copies, this special tenth-anniversary reissue comes as a two-LP set pressed on turquoise marble vinyl.

One of the most enduring recordings in jazz and seasonal music, Vince Guaraldi’s score for A Charlie Brown Christmas, remains a staple to be enjoyed during the holidays and beyond. The classic “Christmas Time Is Here” will be released on a special green vinyl single for Record Store Day Black Friday with the timeless track on side A and an alternate vocal take on the flip-side. It’s all part of Craft’s celebration of the 70th anniversary of Peanuts. Limited to 5,000 copies.

Craft invites listeners to take a trip with the latest in their Jazz Dispensary series, featuring Merl Saunders, Johnny Hammond, Funk, Inc. and The Blackbyrds, with production by David Axelrod, The Mizell Brothers, and Dale Warren. Every track on the set has been remastered from original analog tapes. The music comes pressed on very groovy yellow starburst-hued vinyl, housed in a newly designed jacket courtesy of Dana Falconberry.
