(Three promo videos will round out the DVD content.) The box also features a 24-page booklet and poster. Dr. John, Gris-Gris Gumbo Ya-Ya: Singles 1968-1974 (Omnivore) (Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K. / Amazon Canada)
Here at TSD HQ, we can't get enough of Dr. John, and this new CD collection is just big enough to fit his most memorable singles as originally released between 1968-1974! That's right - every one of the good Doctor's U.S. and U.K. A- and B-sides from that period is here, including "I Walk on Gilded Splinters," "Wash, Mama, Wash," "Such a Night," and "Right Place Wrong Time." This set of New Orleans soul, funk, and R&B from Mac Rebennack and his many friends has been reconfigured and expanded from Omnivore's 2015 CD release and looks to be every bit as enjoyable.
Cannonball Adderley, Burnin' in Bordeaux: Live in France 1969 (Elemental) (Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K. / Amazon Canada)

Recorded in Tustin, California, in 1972 with pianist Dave Frishberg, bassist Joe Mondragon, drummer Nick Ceroli, and guitarist Jack Marshall, this set originally produced by Marshall and Hank Quinn comes from the archives of Jack's son, film producer and director Frank Marshall. Frank has co-produced this reissue with Zev Feldman, while Matthew Lutthans has mastered from the original tapes. It's all topped off with new liner notes, rare photos, and more.

These recordings were transferred from the original tape reels and mastered forCD by engineer Matthew Lutthans. ("Mother Earth (Natural Anthem)" is not a part of this album, and "Farmer John" has retained its title.) Also available on standard vinyl after last week's RSD exclusive vinyl edition.
Jeff Larson, Adobe Home (Melody Place) (Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K. / Amazon Canada)
California singer-songwriter Jeff Larson returns with a beautiful new album co-produced with Gerry Beckley of America. Larson and Beckley co-wrote "She Comes Around," and Larson also performs Beckley's "Hold Inside." With echoes of Eagles, Beach Boys, and America all filtered through the artist's own, original sensibility and sound, Adobe Home is filled with fresh yet timeless tunes for your summer playlist.
