Recorded over two separate engagements at the Roostertail club in Detroit, this 60th anniversary edition of one of Motown’s first and best live LPs has been completely rebuilt, newly mixed and mastered from the original multitrack tapes and offering not only songs from the concerts not heard on the original album, but alternate performances of the ones that were.  The 2LP gatefold package includes Scott Regen’s original liner notes as well as new ones from him, as well as production notes from longtime Motown reissue producer Harry Weinger. Former child star Bill(y) Mumy (Lost in Space, Bewitched, Alfred Hitchcock Presents) has quite the illustrious C.V., building on his early years to continue as an actor (Babylon 5, Superboy), voice work (Batman: The Animated Series, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, Ben 10), author, and musician.  His musical endeavors have been many – playing with such bands as The Jenerators and Seduction of the Innocent – but he may be most beloved in music as one-half of Barnes & Barnes with his late friend, Robert Haimer.  As Art Barnes and Artie Barnes, twin brothers from the fictional land of Lumania, Barnes & Barnes recorded an array of songs that blurred the lines of art rock, novelty records, comedy, new wave, and synthpop.  The duo remains most famous for the delightfully bizarro “Fish Heads” which became the most-requested song in the history of The Dr. Demento Show and earned them a gig on Saturday Night Live.  Now, their original 1987 compilation on Rhino Records is coming back into print on LP and CD from Liberation Hall alongside an accompanying DVD special.  The guests on both releases are too many to mention, but include such happily diverse artists as Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell of America, Mark Hamill, Rosemary Clooney and Jose Ferrer, Shaun Cassidy, Shirley Jones, Wild Man Fischer, and “Weird Al” Yankovic!  Watch this space soon for more on Zabagabee!

Goo Goo Dolls are celebrating 20 years of Let Love In with a deluxe edition featuring a second disc of ten intimate recordings from Hollywood’s storied Capitol Studios.  A 20-page booklet is also included with the CD.  A vinyl edition presents the original album only, with a 12-page lyric booklet.  Also available digitally.

Sun has remastered three titles from the early Johnny Cash catalogue to commemorate the label’s 70th anniversary.  All three are out today on CD.

Nicole Scherzinger, Killer Love (Interscope/UMe) (Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K. / Amazon Canada)

UMe brings the 2011 solo debut of Tony Award winner Nicole Scherzinger (Sunset Blvd.) to vinyl for the first time as well as reissuing it on CD and digital platforms.  Come to think of it, the title Killer Love suits the future Norma Desmond well!

This live album was recorded in September 2025 at various spots in New York City to mark Foreigner’s 50th anniversary.  In addition to Foreigner’s hits, the album includes a rendition of Simon and Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water.”  Available on CD, LP, and digitally.
