Today, we’re turning the spotlight onto Craft Recordings’ slate for Record Store Day’s Black Friday event which takes place on Friday, November 27. Click here for a list of participating retailers! All of the below descriptions and track listings have been provided directly by the label.
Go Radio, Lucky Street (Deluxe Edition) (Sky Blue Swirl vinyl; RSD Limited Run/Regional; 1,850 copies/2,500 copies worldwide) (expanded CD; RSD Limited Run/Regional; 1,000 copies/2,000 copies worldwide)
Released by Fearless Records in 2011, Lucky Street was the debut full-length from Tallahassee rockers Go Radio, led by former Mayday Parade vocalist and guitarist Jason Lancaster. The album paired soaring pop-punk and alternative rock hooks with Lancaster’s impassioned vocals and more intimate, piano-led songwriting, establishing the band as a standout of the early-2010s scene. From the driving “Any Other Heart” and anthemic “Fight, Fight (Reach for the Sky)” to the sweeping “The Truth Is” and deeply personal “Forever My Father,” Lucky Street showcased a band equally at home with full-volume catharsis and heart-on-sleeve balladry.
Celebrating the album’s 15th anniversary, Lucky Street returns for Record Store Day Black Friday in two limited-edition formats. The Deluxe CD, limited to 2,000 copies, expands the original album with six demos and acoustic rarities, while the LP, limited to 2,500 copies worldwide, features the original album pressed on Sky Blue Swirl vinyl.

Blue Mitchell, Out of the Blue (180-gram vinyl; RSD Exclusive; 1,750 copies/3,000 copies worldwide)
Originally released in 1959 on Riverside Records, Out Of The Blue is jazz trumpeter Blue Mitchell’s second album as a leader. Recorded during the golden age of hard bop while Mitchell was a key member of the Horace Silver Quintet, the album features an exceptional lineup including Benny Golson, Wynton Kelly, Art Blakey, and Sam Jones. Widely regarded as one of Mitchell’s finest early recordings, the album captures the trumpeter’s lyrical phrasing and blues-infused style across a program of standards and originals, including the hard-swinging “Blues on My Mind,” the Mitchell-penned “Boomerang” and a spirited take on “When the Saints Go Marching In.” Limited to 3,000 copies worldwide, this Record Store Day Black Friday exclusive presents the album’s original mono mix, with lacquers cut directly from the original tapes (AAA) by Ryan K. Smith at Sterling Sound and pressed on 180-gram vinyl at Fidelity Record Pressing.

Rabbits & Carrots, Soul Latino (Expanded Edition) (2LP; RSD Limited Run/Regional; 800 copies/1,500 copies worldwide)

Across tracks like “Pais Tropical,” “El Baile de la Gallina (Do the Funky Chicken),” “Gente de Diario (Everyday People),” and “Los Pelos Tiesos” the group filters contemporary Brazilian, soul and funk influences through a distinctly Mexican lens, resulting in one of the era’s more unusual cross-cultural groove records.
