Welcome to this week's Release Round-Up featuring a number of rock legends!

Yes - Progeny

Yes, Progeny: Seven Shows from Seventy-Two (Rhino) (Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K.)

This whopping 14-CD box captures seven complete concerts from Yes circa 1972 - the same tour leading up to the performances preserved on Yessongs.  For those who don't need 14 discs, 2-CD and 3-LP Highlights distillations are also available (Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K.) !

Jeff Beck Live Plus

Jeff Beck, Live+ (Rhino) (Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K.)

Guitar hero Jeff Beck returns with a new live album culled from his 2014 tour.  Two new studio tracks round out the set.  Read more, including the complete track listing, here!

Jeff Beck Group - Rough and Ready

The Jeff Beck Group, Rough and Ready (Iconoclassic) (Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K.)

If you prefer your Jeff Beck of a vintage variety, Vic Anesini has remastered this new edition of the 1971 Jeff Beck Group album for Iconoclassic Records!  The reissue features the guitar slinger alongside Cozy Powell (drums), Max Middleton (keyboards), Clive Chaman (bass) and Bobby Tench (vocals).

The Knack - Zoom

The Knack, Zoom (Omnivore) (Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K.)

The Knack's 1998 "comeback" album, featuring Doug Fieger, Berton Averre, Prescott Niles and new drummer Terry Bozzio, gets the deluxe treatment by Omnivore!  This set, kicking off a campaign that will see reissue of The Knack's final three albums, adds five bonus tracks - four of which are previously unreleased!

Bitches Brew 40th UK

Miles Davis, Bitches Brew: 40th Anniversary Collectors' Edition (Repackaging) (Amazon U.K.)

Sony U.K. shrinks down the 2010 box set by dropping the vinyl component.  This repackaging includes 3 CDs and 1 DVD:  two CDs with the original 94-plus minutes of music plus six bonus tracks, a third CD of Miles' previously unissued performance at Tanglewood in August 1970 with Keith Jarrett, Chick Corea, Dave Holland, Jack DeJohnette, Airto Moreira and Gary Bartz, and a DVD of a previously unissued performance in Copenhagen, November 1969, with Wayne Shorter, Corea, Holland and DeJohnette.  The accompanying book features a 5,000-word essay by Greg Tate as well as notes by producers Michael Cuscuna and Richard Seidel plus dozens of rare photographs and record label memos.

Mariah - Infinity

Mariah Carey, # 1 to Infinity (Epic/Columbia/Legacy) (Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K.)

CD: Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K.
Vinyl: Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K. TBD

The pop diva returns with this collection of nineteen chart-toppers.  Read more here, including the full track listing.

Rare Earth - One World

Rare Earth, One World (Culture Factory) (Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K.)

Culture Factory continues its series from Motown rockers Rare Earth with One World, the band's fourth studio album.  Presented in a mini-LP replica sleeve, the 1971 album contains the hit "I Just Want to Celebrate."

Monk - Complete Riverside

Thelonious Monk, The Complete Riverside Recordings (Riverside/Concord) (Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K.)

The Grammy-winning 1986 box set for the pianist-composer is reissued and repackaged.  As before, it contains 153 tracks representing Monk's entire output at Riverside Records as recorded between 1955 and 1961.  The booklet offers liner notes, discographical annotation and more.

To my knowledge, this set is a repackaging to bring the box set back into print and does not feature remastered audio.
