Quicksilver Messenger Service! Without your post, I highly doubt that I wouldn't have known about this release. I know what box set I'm buying, as son as I get paid. Thank You!
I'm happy to see Cilla Black getting more notice, once again. I keep hoping her 1970's albums and singles will see reissues, as deluxe sets. Or, a deluxe box set. I can always hope.

Yes, were is not for the Second Disc post on Culture Factory's James Brown Christmas release, I would not have known about it. Glad to see that label's releases covered. By the way, they have a dandy new website now, much easier to navigate. Oh, and all of their releases are discounted for Black Friday. All single discs reg. $15 are only $10. Doubles reg. $20 are $15. I ordered a few I had been putting off. Unfortunately I ordered the James Brown on Wednesday, before the sale. D'oh!

The Cruising soundtrack is making its digital debut on SACD. That's gotta be a first! Also, the CE3K soundtrack has the "Disco" 45 single as a bonus track. I hadn't heard that song in more than 30 years!

I'm not too thrilled by Culture Factory's audio on the Airplane stuff I've heard - you can probably get te (superior) Legacy editions of the first 7 albums for $5.00 - $10.00 each; and "Bark" &'Thirty Seconds" are available in remastered form (by the same Vic Anesini who did the rest for Legacy) on Iconoclassic, with bonus material....A better deal overall imo.
