Grateful Dead's thrilling run of European shows which were immortalized on the triple-album release Europe '72 and then in 2011 on the expansive 73-CD box set Europe '72: The Complete Recordings. Now, Rhino has announced a host of releases from the final stand of the European tour. Lyceum 1972: The Complete Recordings, due on July 29, will be the Dead's largest vinyl box to date. The 24-LP set contains the last four shows of the tour from London's Lyceum Theatre, all pressed on 180-gram vinyl and available exclusively from Dead.net. For fans looking for a more compact option, the Dead's ongoing 50th anniversary reissue series continues with a newly remastered version of Europe '72 in 2-CD, 3-LP, streaming, and digital download versions (including Apple Lossless and high-resolution FLAC). Dead.net will carry a limited "Bozo or Bolo" 3-LP version which will ship earlier, on June 3 and feature the LPs pressed on psychedelic rainbow vinyl. Each LP features a 50/50 color split with alternating transparent and neon colors of a rainbow: the first platter is transparent red and neon orange; the second is transparent yellow and neon green; the third is transparent indigo and neon violet. The CD, vinyl, and digital iterations have all been remastered by David Glasser with audio restored using Plangent Processes. Lastly, the 4-CD set Lyceum Theatre: May 26, 1972 breaks out the final Lyceum show from the Complete box set. This landmark show was notably the second-to-last performance to feature founding member Ron "Pigpen" McKernan who passed away on March 8, 1973. Read more here.

Iconoclassic Records brings Dwight Twilley's 1986 LP Wild Dogs to CD for the first time. The lost power-pop gem, produced by Val Garay, features the singer-songwriter supported by the illustrious likes of Kim Carnes, Jerry Scheff, Waddy Wachtel, and arranger Jimmie Haskell. This deluxe expanded reissue adds the 7-inch single version of "Sexual" along with eight demos straight from the Twilley archives. Dwight has also penned track-by-track commentary which accompanies Ken Sharp's new liner notes drawing on quotes from Twilley, Garay, Cowsill, and single-named photographer/friend/art director Zox. Vic Anesini has remastered Wild Dogs from the original tapes for this CD premiere.
Iconoclassic Records reissues The Ohio Players' 1981 Boardwalk Records debut Tenderness. For its CD debut, Tenderness has been remastered from the original tapes by Vic Anesini at Battery Studios, and two bonus tracks, "Just Me" and the 12-inch mix of "Try a Little Tenderness," have been added. A. Scott Galloway provides the new liner notes. Read more about both of today's Iconoclassic releases here!

Finn, the first album credited to the Finn Brothers, will debut on vinyl this summer as part of a double LP that also includes Neil and Tim Finn's extraordinary demos from 1989 - which birthed another classic album from the duo. The Needle Mythology label, founded by writer and Finn authority Pete Paphides, will put both Finn and those 1989 demos (including the previously-unreleased "Four-Stepping in 3/4 Time") together in one luxe 2LP package. The sleeve will also include lyrics, new notes by Ed O'Brien of Radiohead, unseen images from the album sessions and even the "listening notes" that the Finns' parents sent them upon hearing the album. Miles Showell at Abbey Road cut the new album transfers, pressed onto 180-gram discs from The Vinyl Factory. (A CD version is reportedly forthcoming.) Read more here.
