Tina Turner Break Every Rule

Tina Turner, Break Every Rule: Deluxe Edition (Parlophone)

3CD/2DVD: Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K. / Amazon Canada
2CD (CD 1 & CD 2 Only): Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K. / Amazon Canada
1LP: Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K. / Amazon Canada

Last year, Parlophone revisited Tina Turner's 1989 triumph Foreign Affair in a deluxe edition.  Now, the label is turning the clock back to 1986 for a similar presentation of the artist's Break Every Rule on 3 CDs and 2 DVDs. The box opens with the remastered original album.  The second disc offers a selection of 10 B-sides, remixes, and live tracks (though roughly twice that many associated tracks were released contemporaneously with the album).  The third CD presents Turner's Guinness World Record-earning concert in front of over 180,000 fans at the Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  This landmark show is also presented in video format (as first released on home video in 1988) on the first DVD; the second contains the album's music videos (newly upgraded to HD) and a second concert, from London's Camden Palace, which was also issued on VHS.  The remastered Break Every Rule will also be issued on black vinyl and as a 2CD expanded edition; the latter format mirrors the first two CDs of the box set (dropping the Rio concert and the DVDs). BUY NOW FROM AMAZON.COM

The Cure, Wish: 30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition (Rhino (U.S.) / UMC (U.K.)) (Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K. / Amazon Canada)

The Cure hit their commercial stride with 1992's Wish.  The band's ninth studio album and highest-charting in both the U.S. and U.K., it tapped into the burgeoning alt-rock movement while retaining the gothic sound on which The Cure made their name.  Now, fans' Wishes are coming true with this 30th anniversary expansion on 3 CDs.   Curated by Robert Smith, the set includes 24 previously unreleased tracks and a further four which are new to CD/digital. Flaming Lips Yoshimi 20th Packshot

BUY NOW FROM AMAZON.COM

The Flaming Lips, Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots: 20th Anniversary Edition (Warner)

6CD: Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K. / Amazon Canada
5LP: Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K. / Amazon Canada

The Flaming Lips' Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots was the band's tenth album and perhaps their most successful, earning their only U.S. Gold record to date as well as a Platinum certification from the U.K.'s BPI.  A loose concept album incorporating electronica, rock, pop, psychedelia, and hip-hop textures, Yoshimi saw the band continuing its inventive path while embracing accessibility.  The album even inspired a stage musical in 2012, and now, its 20th anniversary is being celebrated with a deluxe box set.  The 6-CD box boasts a generous 100 tracks (over 50 previously unreleased); on April 14, 2023, a 5-LP vinyl box will follow with 56 songs (40 tracks previously unavailable on vinyl). Great sets, love the Jim Croce album, but I won't buy as I already have his Edsel complete album + set. However weren't two albums released in his lifetime? Life and times was released in Jan 73, before his untimely death later that same year. So only I got a name was released after his death.

Sorry you were correct I misread your comments. Only one of the two recorded, after his first, were released in his lifetime.

Too bad Warner Records screwed up the songwriting credits on the Tom Petty CD .

Eight Miles High has 3 writers not 1.

Louie Louie was not written by Richard Perry!

    Ouch!
