Rhino's High Fidelity series of audiophile vinyl titles continues today with two (relatively) modern classics. Stevie Nicks' 1981 solo debut Bella Donna and Wilco's 1995 debut A.M. are the two albums in question, with both available now exclusively from Rhino.com and select international Warner Music Group online storefronts. Both albums are housed in old-style "tip-on" jackets; they've been newly mastered by Kevin Gray and pressed on 180-gram vinyl at Optimal. They're limited and numbered to 5,000 units each.
As Mike D. wrote in his review of Nicks' Complete Studio Albums and Rarities box in 2023, Bella Donna was "produced with brio by Jimmy Iovine, with a stable of first-call session musicians at the ready: guitarist Waddy Wachtel, bassist Bob Glaub, keyboardist Benmont Tench of Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, drummer Russ Kunkel, plus contributions from Bruce Springsteen's pianist Roy Bittan, Eagles guitarist Don Felder, percussionist Bobbye Hall and more [including Elton John guitarist Davey Johnstone and Little Feat pianist Bill Payne]. Petty and The Heartbreakers guest in full on the unforgettable 'Stop Draggin' My Heart Around,' and 'Leather and Lace' features a vulnerable duet with the Eagles' Don Henley." The Petty duet reached No. 3 on the Hot 100 and No. 2 on the Mainstream Rock chart, while "Leather" made it No. 6 Pop and No. 10 AC. Those weren't the only hits; the spiky if elegiac rocker "Edge of Seventeen" barely missed the top ten of the Hot 100 at No. 11 but also made No. 4 Mainstream Rock. The fourth and final single, the wistful "After the Glitter Fades," reached the top 40 on both the Pop and AC surveys. On the strength of these hits, Bella Donna hit the top spot in the U.S. and established Nicks as a solo superstar the world over. Bob Mehr provides new liner notes for the Rhino Hi-Fi reissue.
Wilco's 1995 album A.M. arrived in stores just month after the dissolution of frontman Jeff Tweedy's band Uncle Tupelo which also featured drummer Ken Coomer, string player Max Johnston, and bassist John Stirratt. (Jay Farrar went off to form Son Volt, who also debuted in 1995 on a Warner Bros. label.) With The Bottle Rockets' Brian Henneman in his only Wilco appearance as lead guitarist, A.M. continued in Uncle Tupelo's so-called alt-country style, setting the stage for Wilco's subsequent immersions into other sonic landscapes. The album was cut in Memphis with producer Brian Paulson (Uncle Tupelo's Anodyne) and much of it was recorded live in the studio; some of the finished tracks were originally intended as demos. Even at this early stage, though, Wilco was brimming with potential; its songs incorporated rock and power pop textures and hinted at Tweedy's musical restlessness. A.M. hit No. 27 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart, and was somewhat overshadowed by Son Volt's competing debut. With Wilco's next album Being There, however, the band would take an artistic leap with heavier psychedelic overtones and a rootsy, Stones-esque rawness; their ongoing innovation and perpetual reinvention continues to the present day. Bob Mehr again writes the liner notes for this vinyl reissue.

Even better i have the special edition 3 disc release in 2016 which has a total of 35 tracks as there are a number of alternate versions of songs. And on the front cover when you open the box set with the lyrics it says "Come in Out of the Darkness". To me this is the best edition with 35 songs.
