Cage the Elephant, Live from The Vic in Chicago (RCA/Legacy) (2LP - Yellow and Black Splatter vinyl; 4500 copies)
This 2011 concert was first released on CD and DVD later that year; now it comes to vinyl on 2LPs as a RSD Exclusive.
Miles Davis, Live at The Plugged Nickel, December 23, 1965: Set Two (Columbia/Legacy) (2LP; 5900 copies)
Legacy is returning this monumental set from Miles Davis' Second Great Quintet - featuring Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, and Tony Williams - to print on January 30 in both 10LP and 8CD formats. But first, this Record Store Day release breaks out one set from the larger box. Features "All of You," "My Funny Valentine," "So What," and more.
Bob Dylan, The Original Freewheelin' Bob Dylan (Columbia/Legacy) (LP; 13000 copies)
Not long after its initial release, Columbia Records pulled copies of Bob Dylan's 1963 studio album - just his second - to replace four songs. Copies of that original pressing remain extremely rare today. Now, the label is finally bringing that original version of the album with "Rocks and Gravel", "Let Me Die in My Footsteps", "Rambling Gambling Willie," and the once-controversial "Talkin' John Birch Paranoid Blues" reinstated, along with the original liner notes.
Danny Elfman, Big Top Pee-wee (The Original Soundtrack Album) (Arista/Legacy) (LP - Picture Disc; 4500 copies)
Danny Elfman's score to Pee-wee Herman's whimsical 1988 romp comes to the picture disc format.
Billy Joel, Live from Long Island (Columbia/Legacy) (3LP; 1500 copies)
The Piano Man's electrifying December 29, 1982 concert - previously included on vinyl as part of The Vinyl Collection Vol. 2 in 2023 but still unreleased on CD or digitally - receives a 3LP standalone release for RSD Black Friday.
Prince and The Revolution, Around the World in a Day (The Singles Collection) (NPG/Paisley Park/Legacy) (5 x 7" - Colored vinyl; 1985 copies)
This exclusive 7" singles box brings together all four singles from Prince's 1985 classic Around the World in a Day ("Raspberry Beret," "Paisley Park," "Pop Life," and "America") plus a new, fifth single ("4 the Tears in Your Eyes" from We are the World) as newly remastered by Bernie Grundman with Chris James. Each seven-inch single is pressed on a unique color and housed in a replica of its original sleeve, and all five singles are presented in a clamshell box designed by Doug Henders which incorporates imagery from the Around the World in a Day artwork.
Various Artists, Metal Machine Music: Power to Consume, Vol. 1 (Legacy) (2LP; 2100 copies)
The most divisive album of Lou Reed's career also turned out to be one of his most influential, and now, a host of artists including Aaron Dilloway, Drew McDowall, Thurston Moore, Pharmakon, The Rita, and Mark Solotroff are paying tribute to Metal Machine Music on this new release.
Morgan Wade, The Party is Over (Last Call) (RCA Nashville/Legacy) (LP - Purple vinyl; 1000 copies)
This exclusive LP includes five new recordings from the singer-songwriter which are also available as part of the digital deluxe edition of Wade's The Party Is Over (recovered).
Wilco/Jeff Tweedy/Daniel Johnston, dBPM 15 (dBPM/Legacy) (LP; 3400 copies)
dBPM Records celebrates 15 years with this anthology of rarities and unreleased tracks, most of which are available for the first time here on vinyl. Daniel Johnston and Jeff Tweedy's "Casper the Friendly Ghost" and Wilco's cover of The Beatles' "Don't Let Me Down" are among the previously unreleased highlights. It's pressed on red vinyl.

Well, this is the one I’ve been waiting for: Billy Joel Live From Long Island. Way, way overdue.
But why, why, WHY this only a measly 1500? Almost all of the others here are way more copies. Dylan’s is 13,000?? Great that I’ll likely find that, but a lot of Billy fans are going to strike out. Gotta figure most of those copies will end up in New York. Who decided this?
Joe and Mike, can you reach out to John Jackson or someone and find out what the deal is? Why no CD, why no digital release, and why only 1500 copies? Will this be a general release later, and how long will we still need to wait?
The more I think about this the more it upsets me. The Dylan release will be almost 10 times as many copies as Billy. Miles, almost four times as many. Freakin’ Pee-Wee three times as many?
The Wilco thing gets more. Prince a few ore (But probably too low also). A tribute to Metal Machine Music gets more?
Billy Joel is the biggest selling artist in the history of Columbia Records, and his fans have been clamoring for any number of formats for Live From Long Island for decades — DVD/Blu-Ray, CD, digital, vinyl. All we’re getting is 1500 vinyl copies, nothing else, which will be a total crapshoot when it comes to finding a copy.
Who decided this?
Are the number of copies for the US market only, or worldwide. I would be interested in the number of copies for Europe for instance.
