The former Procol Harum guitarist’s acclaimed power trio live release gets a fresh look to celebrate its half-century mark! It’s been newly sequenced back into its original 12-song running order and remixed from the original multi-tracks by engineer Richard Whittaker. A 2CD set will include that expansion next to a new remaster of the original seven-track LP, while the vinyl includes the new mix across two LPs. Liner notes by David Sinclair include new interview quotes from Trower and drummer Bill Lordan alongside unseen photos from the concert and the period. Following last year’s career-spanning compilation, Ben Watt and Tracey Thorn are revisiting a pair of EBTG’s classic albums in new 2CD expanded editions. These 2026 reissues are not new remasters; rather, they use the existing masters by Miles Showell. The bonus tracks reflect the long out-of-print Edsel reissues from 2012-2013 with some variations; Eden, now on a single disc, drops the BBC session tracks but adds a 1983 cover of The Jam’s “English Rose.” Amplified Heart, from the second batch of Edsel reissues, similarly retains the B-sides and demos but tweaks the rest. It keeps two 1994 live tracks and adds three more. That set had four remixes of “Missing.” This version cuts two of them but adds a remix of “Rollercoaster.” Got all that? It’s a Rollercoaster, indeed!

Focusing on soul and jazz, a new batch of Quadio releases arrives today at general retail from Rhino. All four titles are reissued in Blu-ray Audio format with the original 4.0 quadraphonic mix in 192/24 as well as a high-resolution stereo mix on each title. All four titles are also still available directly from Rhino.com.

Real Gone digs back to reissue Tom Tom Club’s self-titled album. Real Gone has previously reissued this album on green vinyl (2016), blue-and-yellow starburst hue vinyl (2017), and yellow and red vinyl (2020). Now, the label is issuing a new version on clear with pink, white, and green splatter vinyl. This danceable and funky Talking Heads side-project featured Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth alongside Weymouth’s sisters and Adrian Belew and Steven Stanley from the Remain in Light band. This year marks the influential album’s 45th anniversary, making it a worthy addition to any record library.

Real Gone has released several reissues by Tim Buckley over the years and they are now turning their attention to his self-titled debut album, celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. Buckley was all of 19 years old when he recorded his first LP in 1966 with Elektra founder Jac Holzman co-producing and a stunningly strong group of session players backing him up (Lee Underwood on guitar, Jim Fielder of Blood, Sweat and Tears on bass, Van Dyke Parks on piano, and the Mothers of Invention’s Billy Mundi on drums). Though critics never gave him scores of attention, he is now widely regarded as one of the more preeminent folk singers of the day, and a particular inspiration to many sensitive, experimental singer-songwriters – including his own son, Jeff. (In a case of bizarre, tragic irony, both Tim and Jeff died at young ages, before their music had a chance to grip critics as they do now.) Real Gone’s new reissue has been remastered and comes on “coke clear” vinyl.

The blues and rock band lead by married couple Susan Tedeschi (vocals, guitar) and Derek Trucks (guitar) formed in 2010 and released their debut album, Revelator, the next year. To promote their next release, the 2012 live album Everybody’s Talkin’, the group released a 4-song live CD EP with an exclusive track, “Don’t Let Me Slide.” Real Gone is giving this live EP its first ever vinyl release, reissuing it on “fire orange with black swirl” vinyl.

Discovered by Keith Sweat, this Atlanta-based R&B group (Athena Cage, Lavonn Battle, and Tabitha Duncan) only released a single album, 1995’s Surrender. The single “I Like” became a hit, climbing to No. 6 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Chart and No. 34 on the Hot 100. Real Gone’s new reissue is the first U.S. vinyl reissue of the album and comes on light blue vinyl. It has been remastered and includes a printed inner sleeve.

Christian metalcore band The Devil Wear Prada has released nine studio albums since being formed in Ohio in 2005 and taking their name from the popular book (which would become a hit move in 2006). 2013’s 8:18 was their fifth album and the first without keyboardist James Baney and would prove to be the final album for founding members Chris Rubey (guitar) and Daniel Williams (drums). It topped the Billboard Christian charts and hit No. 6 and No. 20 on the Billboard 200 and rock charts, respectively. Real Gone’s reissue comes on “sea blue” vinyl and comes in a gatefold package with an insert. All of Real Gone’s releases are also available directly from the label.
Gene Pitney, Pitney ’75 (BGO) (Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K. / Amazon Canada)
The late troubadour’s 1975 album for the UK’s Bronze Records label gets its first standalone CD reissue for BGO. With producers including David MacKay, Gerry Bron and Roger Cook, Pitney tackled songs by Elton John and Bernie Taupin (“Skyline Pigeon”), David Pomeranz (“Tryin’ to Get the Feelin’ Again”), Paul Williams (“Waking Up Alone”), Albert Hammond and Hal David (“Image”), and others. It’s expanded with six bonus single sides from the Bronze period.

Bruce Hornsby’s new album is produced by the artist with Tony Berg and Will Maclellan, and features contributions from friends including the late Bob Weir, Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend, Bonnie Raitt, Blake Mills, and others. Two of the album’s ten tracks were co-written with the late Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter. Available on CD, LP, and digitally.

The Pernice Brothers’ and Scud Mountain Boys’ Joe Pernice’s new album features guest appearances by Jimmy Webb, Aimee Mann, Rodney Crowell, and Norman Blake. This marks his first studio album of original material under his own name. Available on CD, LP, and digitally.
