If you've been around Amazon lately, you might have known that the previously mentioned entry for Paul Revere & The Raiders in Legacy's Essential series has a track list.
The two-disc set is due out in two weeks, but fans have certainly been wondering what this set will have that others before it (namely Collector's Choice Music's three-disc Complete Columbia Singles) did not. The first blurb Legacy released about the product promised promo-only tracks and some mono single mixes, all curated by Bob Irwin of Sundazed Music. Of course, Amazon's track listing isn't going to point out the intricacies of each tune.
So we're going to do something a little different: the track list is after the jump, albeit without discographical comment. We can't differentiate which mixes are different, so for now we'll just give you the songs on each disc. Have at it in the comments!

Hmmm. 18 songs to a disc sounds kinda stingy to me. Raven was able to get 30 songs on one disc for their single-disc "Kicks!: the Anthology." Columbia's "The legend of Paul Revere" had 55 tracks.

“The legend of Paul Revere” was the worst sounding CD ever. I wish it had less tracks.

I am just wondering what is My Wife Can't Cook. I never heard that. The legend of paul revere cd did what it was supposed to do which was to give us our first look at the lost album with tobacco road, angels of mercy and chain of fools. The cd does sound bad though I agree. That was early 90's and it sounded as good as it could have i think. An interesting song list too. Would have loved it if this compilation had the last three songs of the lost album too. Oh well. If Bob Irwin had something to do with it, it must be ok.

I am trying to build up my Paul Revere and the Raiders collection. I will probably purchase this cd as well as others.

I'll get this CD set, too, and I hope it has some interesting nuances, but I was a little disappointed seeing the track list. Would be good to have a few more album-only tracks, although I'm glad they're including Freeborn Man, Mo'reen, and several others. But why repeat things like Judge GTO Breakaway and so many singles that have been released on other CDs. I agree that more songs from the lost album of '72 would have been exciting.

Can anyone tell me if this new 'Essential' cd has been remastered? If so, how does it sound compared with previous releases?
