Magnetic Waves of Sound: The Best of The Move, featuring 21 tracks on CD and a further 21 live performances and promotional films on DVD, is certainly not the group's first anthology, but it's doubtless among the finest. Beyond The Wheel: Soundgarden to Remix, Reissue "Ultramega OK"
In the past few years--nearly every one that The Second Disc has been around--there's been a flurry of activity around the Soundgarden catalogue. In 2010, shortly after ending a 13-year breakup, the Seattle grunge outfit released Telephantasm, a career-spanning compilation. A year later, Live on I-5 chronicled their last tour from 1996. In 2013 (a year after the release of King Animal, the group's sixth studio album), the band's 1990 compilation Screaming Life/Fopp (comprised of their first

CONTEST EXTENDED! ENTER NOW to WIN Muhammad Ali's "The Greatest" Featuring George Benson, Michael Masser
When Muhammad Ali died on June 3, 2016 at the age of 74, his immortality had already been long guaranteed. President Barack Obama summed up the feelings of many when he proclaimed, "Muhammad Ali was America. He will always be America. What a man. What a spirit. What a joyous, mighty champion." It was no accident that history's only three-time lineal heavyweight champion, the man born Cassius Marcellus Clay, Jr., was nicknamed "The Greatest." That moniker also was used for the title of the

Playing with Electric Trains: Squeeze's Chris Difford to Release Solo Box Set
Arguably one of the finest British songwriting duos since Lennon and McCartney, Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook have made perfect, powerful pop as leaders of Squeeze since the release of their first material in 1977--all the way up to an out-of-nowhere triumph with 2015's Cradle to the Grave, the band's first album of new material in more than 15 years. Since that initial dissolution of the duo's partnership after 1998's Domino, both Chris and Glenn sought to found their voices as solo

Raining in Memphis: Analog Spark Unearths Southern Soul Classic From Dan Penn

Nobody's Fool was recorded by Penn for Bell Records in 1973, and remained his only solo album for more than two decades.

Looking Out For Love: Fleetwood Mac's "Tango in the Night" Due as Deluxe Set

Records and Rhino will expand and reissue Fleetwood Mac's 14th studio album, Tango in the Night. The last studio album from the band's modern classic line-up of Lindsey Buckingham (vocals/guitar), Stevie Nicks (vocals), Christine McVie (vocals/keyboards), John McVie (bass) and Mick Fleetwood (drums), Tango in the Night marked the group's
Ooh Baby You Move Me: Ace Collects Soulful Sounds of Linda Jones
Linda Jones' life was tragically curtailed at the age of 28 in March 1972, felled by a long battle with diabetes. Yet the passionately emotive vocalist left behind a catalogue so rich that it's still cherished by soul connoisseurs. In 2015, Real Gone Music collected Jones' complete sides for Atco, Loma, and Warner Bros. Records, spanning the period of 1964-1969. Now, Ace's Kent imprint has bookended the Linda Jones story with Precious: The Anthology 1963-72, culled from every one of her label

RGM's new edition is expanded by one track and features notes from Todd Everett.
The Complete Columbia Recordings
The power-pop precursor band Artful Dodger hailed from Virginia. Influenced by The Beatles and Rolling Stones, the group cut three albums on Columbia between 1975 and 1977. The Complete Columbia Recordings contains these three albums, often compared to The Raspberries' finest work, plus the band's single sides. It has been remastered by Maria Triana at Battery Studios. Jeremy Cargill's notes features new quotes from the band.
The Complete Singles A's and B's
The Complete Singles A's and B's from The Rascals is just what the title promises: every single side released by the band on Atlantic and Columbia between 1965 and 1972 in their original mixes. The 47-track, 2-CD compilation has been newly remastered by Mike Milchner at SonicVision and features liner notes by Ed Osborne containing new quotes from the band members.
The Definitive Collection
Real Gone has a new compilation from the one and only Ann-Margret. The Definitive Collection features 30 of the flame-haired singer/actress's songs from her 1961-1966 tenure on RCA Records and includes standards, pop, soundtrack recordings and collaborations with Al Hirt and Elvis Presley.
