Cherry Red’s Esoteric Recordings has revisited the 2007 concert release Dear Mr. Fantasy: A Celebration for Jim Capaldi in a new 2CD/1Blu-ray edition.  Following the singer-songwriter-drummer’s death on January 28, 2005 at the age of 60 from stomach cancer, many of his friends came together on January 21, 2007 at the Roundhouse in London’s Camden Town to pay tribute and support one of his favorite charities, The Jubilee Action Street Children Appeal.  This release preserves that extraordinary evening with Capaldi’s former Traffic bandmate Steve Winwood, Yusuf Islam a.k.a. John Entwistle’s solo material – between and after his time as founding bassist of The Who – will be compiled into a new box set from Edsel. The Ox, due May 10, collects six of his solo albums – Smash Your Head Against the Wall (1971), Whistle Rymes (1972), Rigor Mortis Sets In (1973), Mad Dog (1975), Too Late the Hero (1981) and The Rock (1996) – along with 29 previously released bonus tracks, including demos, B-sides and other rarities. Take It ‘To the Limit’: New Eagles Triple Album Offers Hits, Live Cuts
