Faster Than The Speeding Light: Rhino's Black Friday RSD Slate Features Madonna, The Doors, Grateful Dead, Todd Rundgren and More

As we continue to look at the offerings for this Black Friday Record Store Day on November 23, here is a peek at the twelve titles Rhino will be releasing.  As always, these will be available exclusively at all finer independent music shops on Black Friday!

The B-52's - Cosmic Thing
The group's fifth album from 1989, featuring the hits "Love Shack" and "Roam."  Limited edition of 4,500 copies on 140-gram rainbow colored vinyl.

Devo - Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo!
Devo's debut album, celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.  Limited edition of 5,000 copies on 12-inch picture disc.

Duke Ellington - Duke Ellington Plays With The Original Motion Picture Score: Mary Poppins
This 1965 album sees the jazz legend covering 12 songs from the classic Disney film, which had been released just a year prior.  This reissue arrives just in advance of Disney's big-screen sequel, Mary Poppins Returns.  Limited Edition of 3,000 copies on 140-gram black vinyl.

The Flaming Lips - The Mushroom Tapes LP
First officially released in 2002 as part of an expanded edition of the band's 1990 In A Priest Driven Ambulance, this LP collects twelve demos for that album.  Limited edition of 4,000 copies on 140-gram color vinyl.

Grateful Dead - "Playing In The Band", Seattle, WA 5/21/74
The longest uninterrupted performance of a Grateful Dead song ever, clocking in at 47 minutes, split on the two sides of the LP.  Limited edition of 7,400 copies on 180-gram black vinyl.

Jim Morrison & The Doors - An American Prayer
The final studio Doors album, from November 1978, saw the band setting some of Jim Morrison's poetry to music seven years after his death.  Limited edition of 7,000 numbered copies on 180-gram red vinyl with booklet and lithograph.

Madonna - Ray Of Light
Madonna's successful 1998 electronica album celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and features the hit title song and "Frozen."  2-LP limited edition of 7,000 copies on 180-gram clear vinyl.

Ramones - Live In Glasgow December 19, 1977
This concert was first released on last year's Rocket To Russia 40th anniversary edition and was recorded days before the band recorded the It's Alive album.  2-LP limited edition of 6,500 numbered copies on 180-gram black vinyl with etching.

Stone Temple Pilots - Live 2018
Live cuts from this year featuring new lead singer Jeff Gutt including classic tracks and songs off of their new studio album from March.  Limited edition of 5,000 copies on 140-gram bright red vinyl with 3D art work and 3D glasses.

Talking Heads - Remain In Light
The group's critically acclaimed 1980 album featuring the single "Once In a Lifetime."  Limited edition of 5,500 copies on140-gram translucent red vinyl.

Todd Rundgren - Something / Anything?
The Rock-and-Roll Hall of Fame nominee's classic 1972 double album featuring "I Saw The Light" and "Hello It's Me."  2-LP limited edition of 3,500 copies on red/blue vinyl with 7-inch ("Hello It's Me" (7" edit) b/w "Cold Morning Light").

YES - Time And A Word
The band's second album which was released in 1970 and was the first to enter the UK charts.  This edition replicates the original West German pressing with alternate mixes, track listing, and front cover art.  Limited edition of 4,000 copies on 180-gram black vinyl.
