It eventually went 8x Platinum. The Grammy-winning single "One" off the album also marked a couple of firsts for Metallica: their first song to hit the Top 40 (No. 35) and their first music video. Available in all of the above formats as well as digitally. Get more details here!
Joni Mitchell, Love Has Many Faces: A Quartet, A Ballet, Waiting to Be Danced (Rhino) (Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K. / Amazon Canada)
Joni Mitchell's 2014 4-CD box set is reissued as an 8-LP vinyl collection. The set is strictly limited to 5,000 units and will be presented in a hardbound, deluxe folio package. To retain Joni's original four-act concept, though, etchings of her artwork appear on four individual sides of vinyl. In addition, the packaging will include a book with lyrics, six paintings, and illuminating, Grammy-winning liner notes written by Joni herself that detail the trajectory of the project and provide background on the tracks and the collaborations that created some of the most compelling, complex, and innovative music of our time. Notably, this LP issue of Love Has Many Faces will mark the vinyl debut of nineteen Joni Mitchell recordings, as her post 1991 albums have yet to receive any standalone vinyl treatment. The collection will also feature a 2014 Joni Mitchell-sanctioned remix of 1994's "Borderline," featuring new trumpet accompaniment from Ambrose Akinmusire. All 53 tracks were remastered in 2014 under Joni's supervision. Read more here!

Rod McKuen, New Carols for Christmas: The Rod McKuen Christmas Album (Real Gone) (Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K. / Amazon Canada)
Real Gone has a newly-remastered reissue of Rod McKuen's New Carols For Christmas - The Rod McKuen Christmas Album from 1971. Unusual for many Christmas albums, it consists of original songs in the spirit of the season written by McKuen and such collaborators as Anita Kerr, Art Podell of The New Christy Minstrels, and electronic music pioneer Mort Garson. Real Gone has added McKuen's duet with Petula Clark of Frank Loesser's perennial "Baby, It's Cold Outside" recorded in 1973 to the remastered reissue. The booklet features liner notes by McKuen biographer Barry Alfonso and includes the album's original gatefold artwork and rare photos of the artist.
John Klein, A Christmas Sound Spectacular/Let's Ring the Bells All Around the Christmas Tree (Real Gone) (Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K. / Amazon Canada Link TBD)
Real Gone has a twofer from John Klein of 1959's A Christmas Sound Spectacular and 1964's Let's Ring The Bells All Around The Christmas Tree. Trained by Igor Stravinsky and Nadia Boulanger, Klein was a musical renaissance man who made several albums featuring carillons for Columbia and RCA Victor in the 1950s and 1960s. Real Gone's two-for-one reissue features notes with personal recollections from R. Steve Harmon, whose father was President and Program Director of radio station XETRA ("the mighty 690") in San Diego. Mike Piacentini at Sony's Battery Studios has done the remastering. Both albums are making their stereo CD debuts.
The McGuire Sisters, Season's Greetings from The McGuire Sisters: The Complete Coral Christmas Recordings (Real Gone) (Amazon U.S. / Amazon U.K. / Amazon Canada)
The McGuire Sisters' first and only full-length Christmas album for Coral Records came in 1958 with Greetings From the McGuire Sisters. The LP was actually a collection of earlier holiday-related tracks. All but "Happy New Year" and "The Cactus Christmas Tree" were previously released as singles with "He" hitting No. 10 in Billboard and No. 4 in Cashbox in 1955. Real Gone has added three tracks ("Peace" and "Ave Maria" from 1959 and "Be A Santa" from 1961) to encompass the Sisters' complete Christmas recordings at Coral. The set has been produced and annotated by Tom Pickles. This marks the first time that the whole Greetings album has been available on CD. Joe Mac Pherson says
Thank You! For this exceptional posting! I had no idea Marianne Faithfull was working on a new album. I've been buying her music for decades. In the 1990's, I got to meet her. She graciously signed the vinyl album cover for Broken English; now I have it professionally framed, adjacent to Bryan Ferry, Nico, Gary Numan, Marc Almond and others in my extensive autographed music collection. My rule: I must seriously admire the artist or band, and if I meet them then I have the music autographed. Nothing will ever go on Ebay!! These are my continuing memories! I'm really curious: Is Loneliest Person the same song, done by The Pretty Things for their 1968, world's first ever Rock Opera, S.F. Sorrow? If it's the same song, I know Ms. Faithfull will give it a devastatingly beautiful treatment.

Along with the Dylan box, I would be interested in hearing the new Roseanne Cash. She’s a class act, and she’s got great collaborators on this album!
And Emmet Otter! Not sure I really need that soundtrack, but I might snag it. Really, I just wish we’d get a FULL, uncut version of the show (with the Kermit segments too) on DVD or Blu-ray.
