I Just Don’t Know Where to Begin

Wow! I am pleased as punch to present my review of Elvis Costello and The Attractions Live at Hollywood High live disc at MusicTAP, one of my favorite music Web sites.

When I first got the idea of writing about back catalogue material, MusicTAP head Matt Rowe was one of the people I looked to for inspiration. His thrice-weekly insights about the past, present and future of music are always scintillating and never preachy – and he puts up release dates early and often.

I urge you to come to MusicTAP for the excellent conversation about the wondrous entity that is music and stay for my first professional review of a record. Thanks to Matt – and you. Keep spinning!

Mike Duquette (Founder) was fascinated with catalog music ever since he was a teenager. A 2009 graduate of Seton Hall University with a B.A. in journalism, Mike paired his profession with his passion through The Second Disc, one of the first sites to focus on all reissue labels great and small. His passion for reissues turned into a career, having written at and worked for all three major catalogue music labels and contributing to Allmusic, Billboard, Discogs, City Pages and Ultimate Classic Rock. He's penned liner notes for Verve, Chess, Mondo and Soul Music Records.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Mike lives in Astoria, Queens with his wife, a cat named Ravioli, twin daughters and a large yet tasteful collection of music.
