Today, Rhino announced its new Sounds of the Summer initiative, which will see a total of over two dozen vinyl releases hitting brick-and-mortar stores beginning this Friday, July 5, and continuing throughout the month of July. These titles encompass various reissues as well as new entries in the label's ongoing Now Playing series of compilations. On the heels of their announcement of the expansive Woodstock 50 campaign, Rhino has announced a new series celebrating The Summer of '69: Peace, Love, and Music. Beginning on July 9, the campaign will feature a three-week-long roll-out of limited-edition vinyl releases of classic recordings from the Woodstock era by the likes of Van Morrison; The Monkees; Grateful Dead; Crosby, Stills & Nash; and many more. In conjunction with a U.K. and European tour Graham Nash is launching in July (and the 50th anniversary of the formation of Crosby, Stills and Nash), Rhino has just announced a new anthology for the legendary artist in a variety of formats. On June 29, the 2-CD, 30 track Over The Years... will be available, as well as a downloadable and streaming version.
