We're into the second week of January, and it wouldn't be a new year without Rhino's annual Start Your Ear Off Right campaign. This year's slate encompasses eighteen vinyl reissues across the rock, soul, and jazz spectrum, the majority of which were released on Friday at independent record stores and most Barnes and Noble locations (and online).

Be sure to check out your local indie record shop for the SYEOR releases (and don't forget to pick up your free poster and/or matchbook from participating retailers). Most Barnes and Noble locations are also stocking the SYEOR releases, so now might be a good time to use those holiday gift cards, too!
Eagle-eyed fans will notice, too, that many of the titles originally released on Atlantic Records are also branded with the new Atlantic 75 logo on a hype sticker, commemorating the venerable label's founding in late 1947 by Ahmet Ertegun and Herb Abramson. The Atlantic 75 campaign will continue throughout the year.

I like the new Atlantic 75th labels...reminds me of the 60th & 40th ones...it was on the new Iggy Pop album "Every Loser", which is great btw, sounds like prime Stooges & Iggy in unhinged form, always a fine thing...
