On June 12, Real Gone Music will dig into the ’60s underground with a pair of exciting vinyl releases. The first is a reissue of The Electric Prunes’ Release of an Oath. By the time the album was released in 1968, the band – known for “I Had Too Much to Dream (Last Night)” – featured none of its original members, yet two key players in the band’s success remained: engineer-producer Dave Hassinger and composer-arranger extraordinaire David Axelrod.
