Hawkwind Space Ritual

Cosmic rock doesn't get much more cosmic (or ambitious!) than Hawkwind's live album Space Ritual - and this month, it'll be expanded beyond all imagination in an epic 10CD/Blu-ray box set from Cherry Red and Atomhenge, the label responsible for the group's catalogue. Space Ritual (50th Anniversary Edition) will feature the original, newly remastered 1973 double album as well as new mixes in stereo and surround by Stephen W. Tayler. Riding the Rock Machine

Today, we're looking at three recent releases from Cherry Red's Grapefruit imprint! Grapefruit is continuing its series of 3-CD clamshell cases with two titles spotlighting the 1970s.  Riding the Rock Machine: British Seventies Classic Rock, available now, is certainly one of the broadest such releases in Grapefruit's series.  Compiler David Wells sets out his mission statement in straightforward fashion: "[Such] is the reductive nature of radio station playlists and Spotify recommendations

You Pretty Things" doesn't appear anywhere

Derringer Blue Sky Albums

Cherry Red Records has recently continued its series of "complete albums"-style box sets with a set from Derringer on its Hear No Evil Recordings imprint, and a continuation of the Hawkwind story from its Atomhenge imprint.
